Wow! Where do I start with this one? after our enquiry call, i knew that hannah & mason were my kind of couple! Hannah was pregnant with twin boys at the time of booking me so it was all systems go! sadly, one of their little boys, lennie passed shortly after arriving in the world. i had the absolute privilege of meeting them with their son, reggie, for the pre shoot at bassmead manor barns and he totally stole the show. A haven of tranquillity set among acres of blissful Cambridgeshire countryside, this endlessly romantic venue was the perfect setting for these two.
The day at the beautiful bassmead manor barns was more emotionally charged than your usual wedding! lennie’s presence was felt all over the venue and he was kept close to his mummy & daddy throughout the day.
The wedding party were on point! abba was blaring! hannah was being hand fed grapes by abby! i had to help the lads do their ties - every single one of them! i am always on hand to step in with dress alterations, hair styling and sorting ties.
hannah & mason exchanged hand written vows before the ceremony - i always treat these moments very sensitively and was able to capture the emotion of this incredibly intimate moment, without being intrusive.
Reggie made his grand entrance for the ceremony with his brothers name on the number plate - none of the guests sustained feet injuries during the entrance - he nailed it. the ceremony was followed with a feather confetti exit to remember lennie, followed by some relaxed group shots whilst the guests tucked into their canapes. we had great fun with the smoke bombs and i was able to successfully coach the groomsmen and bridesmaids, so that they managed to keep all of their digits and hair!
hannah & mason snuck away for a private dance in the barn when the sun went down, followed with sparklers and ice cream in the gardens. the day was filled with so much love and warmth - i still think about this wedding often and count these guys as friends for life.
